Basketball Skills Enhancement Coach
Julian was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. He attended Lewis and Clark High School where he was an honors student and was a distinguished graduate in 2015.
Julian has always wanted to take his game to the highest level possible. He got the chance to do that after his freshman year in high school when he began working with basketball training expert, friend, and mentor Eric Avery. He also dedicated himself to a comprehensive strength training program during high school. In 2015, Julian helped the LC Tigers win its first Greater Spokane League Championship.
Julian’s success on the basketball court attracted nearly two dozen colleges. In the Spring of 2015 he accepted an offer to play for the Prairie Wolves of Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU) as part of new Coach Dale Wellman’s initial recruiting class. Julian spent a year playing with the Prairie Wolves and loved their basketball program. However, he discovered that computer science was his field and unfortunately the degree was not offered at NWU. Julian transferred to EWU in 2016. NWU later went on to win the D-3 national championship.
Julian currently attends EWU where he is a successful computer science student. Between tough computer exams and studying high-level math, Julian has represented EWU on their club basketball team, continues to compete in summer ball with other college players, trains young local basketball athletes, and has helped train the EWU women’s team over the past two years. Julian has also spent the past four years as a certified lifeguard and with CPR and First Aid credentials. Julian remains truly a dedicated student of the game. He’s an exceptional athlete and community member.
